Independent Accountant

Your responsibilities:

• Posting of accounting documents (invoices, bank statements, other accounting documents),
• Accounting for operations in accordance with Polish accounting standards (UoR),
• Oversee and support electronic workflow using Saldeo,
• Preparation of bank transfers based on accounting records,
• Support in month and year-end closing processes,
• Work with Finance Manager to implement Comarch ERP Optima and transfer accounting from accounting office to in-house,
• Preparation of VAT and CIT returns (preferred),
• Preparation of annual financial statements based on accounting records,
• Collaborate with auditors, tax authorities and other external stakeholders as needed.

Our requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in full accounting in accordance with Polish regulations,
• Practical experience in working with Comarch ERP Optima,
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
• Basic knowledge of Saldeo (preferred but not required),
• Communicative knowledge of English (preferred but not required),
• Experience in preparing VAT and CIT returns (preferred),
• Ability to prepare financial statements based on accounting records,
• Knowledge of Polish accounting principles and tax regulations,
• Education in accounting, finance or a related field
• Openness to new experiences and willingness to learn
• Strong motivation and commitment to daily work
• High attention to detail and a sense of responsibility
• Ability to work independently and be well organized
• Proactive approach to process improvement and problem solving
